They might work but they do not comply with the law.
Anyway I am not prepared to revisit the whole of the GDPR debate, I spent 18 months of my life on that - I will leave it to you "experts" to decide what to do.

It can be a checkbox when check reveals the test to read with an accept button
Re: simplification of registration - prosilver
All that is doing is adding another operation that then has to display the Privacy Policy (and yes I know that it is easily done with js) and then be validated before the form can be submitted

That does not mean that it is complying with the law - I would suggest that you read the copious amounts of documentation relating to GDPR that are available bearing in mind that there are variations to the regulations by country.DracoBlue_ wrote: ↑Sat Aug 28, 2021 10:59 am At prestashop, you also accept the privacy policy and regulations using the tick box when registering

It’s nots that big a deal as it was then. Everyone has implemented was of doing already that we can draw from so it will be fine just look at how it’s done on the large social sights and work it in!

OK - whatever, I'm out of this discussion.
If there is to be an in depth discussion about every field on every page/form then the new style will not be seen this century!!

i agree with simplification for registration , it can be in one page and one step. some thing like this is happened for installation phpBB with ajax system before.
Re: simplification of registration - prosilver
according to this blog post post it is perfectly acceptable to have a tick box it just can't be ticked by default. Even companies like Ikea has checkbox with a link to full text User account - IKEA.
