What was the first phpBB version to use entirely HTML5?

Discuss general development subjects that are not specific to a particular version like the versioning control system we use or other infrastructure.

What was the first phpBB version to use entirely HTML5?

Post by techboyg5 »

What was the first phpBB version to use entirely HTML5? And no HTML 4.01 or XHTML 1.0? I believe it's 3.1 but tell me if it's not.

Also, what earlier versions of HTML did earlier versions of phpBB use?

You cross-posted the same question at phpBB . com, may I ask why you need this kind of info?

I'm interested to see the first phpBB version to use all HTML5 documents, and what older versions of HTML were used in earlier versions of it.
Is it 3.1? I believe it is.

There is not a version that uses ALL of the HTML5 "documents" nor "tags", still.

I meant the HTML5 DOCTYPE.

I stand corrected about DOCTYPE.
And it looks like the previous HTML DOCTYPE they used was (mostly) XHTML 1.0 Strict. And a few times also XHTML 1.0 Transitional and HTML 4.01 Transitional.
