Which is your primary web browser??

Post by SHS` »

Well, just wanted to get a feel for what you people use.

I'm personally 50/50 between IE6 and Mozilla as each have their own quirks/bugs, especially with CSS2. Opera 6 is rather spiffy too.

So vote for your primary... if you wish to list your preferred "top 3", then you can do so aswell. :D

I use both Mozilla and IE.
Mozilla in school, IE at home.

IE 5 is my default browser, so the one used most. I lost faith in NN/AOL with the release of 6.0 and started following Opera. Should give NN another chance one of these days (but still have doubts about its future).

I hope NS6... I really hate having NS4 installed even if it's just for testing purposes. I'd personally rather use NS3 than have NS4 forced upon me....

But Starweb...?? You referring to the intergrated one in StarOffice??

ie5.5 is clearly the best of all the browsers, being the best compatible with the most web sites
ie6 may change my opinion on this.

BTW I'm no MS groupie, just I genuinely think that if IE6 has ie5.5's features plus the stability we deserve, then its got to be the de facto standard for the next two years.

IE 6 still doesn't support png's, despite M$ bullshite promises, and PNG is blatantly the best image format, hands down. [bd59ba]I[/bd59ba] don't call that compatible. :P

other - NetCaptor

once i started using this, IE and Opera went to the wayside. i only call them up when testing.

i avoid netscape like the plague (read: free AOL CDs) except for testing, because for some reason people still like this hog.

oh, and when on Linux - Konquerer. but i am havening serious problems getting my ISA winmodem to work under RH, thus eliminating my Linux browsing... :(
