My E-mail to my Dad about my grades....

Class = My class which is removed because I know people at this message board that go to my school....

Teacher = The teacher's name which was removed so I don't get any lawsuits.... lol

These are my final grades for the 6 weeks....

My GPA I calculated will most likely be a 3.46 which up from a ~3.2.

I had looked through a lot at the details for my Class grade and found ways to improve it.
1. I will revise all of my homework assignments a 2nd time.
2. I will set a goal starting today to learn ATLEAST 3 vocabulary words every day of school from the vocabulary lists and when I run out I can get them from an online translator.

In my mind all my other grades and fine with Science being a very high score for the large test we had which was worth ~70% of our grade. And my Class grade I think is pretty good since I worked hard to earn every extra credit point possible and rose my grade from an 82% to a 92.2%.

I am going to try those things and I'm sure for an improvement in my Class and Class grade for this 6 weeks.
And I'm very sorry about the Spanish grade... I could have waited and made some excuse but I decided to just straight tell you, and only today I discovered that our grades were posted online, I'll still show you my report card tomorrow. (I thought that if I told you today then you'd have time to calm down, lol. Just Kidding)

Oh yeah... 6 A's and A-'s, 1 B, and that last grade which is changing this 6 weeks.

Can someone explain me all this?:D
...this differences in educations sytems makes me crazy...
When I went to school in Poland I had grades between 1 and 6 (1=failed, 6=very, very good), in Spain I had grades up to 10 (under 5 was failed) in Germany I have grades between 1 and 5 (but this time 1 is very good and 5 failed)...you can just imagine, what promblems I have when I try to explain for example to my grandma what did I get...

I though germans have grades from 1 (best) - 6 (worst) (not 5) in middle and 1 (worst) - 15 (best) in high school?

Hmm, yeah, can someone explain what GPA is? I have this nice program on my PDA which also can calculate my GPA for me. If I only knew what it was...

Here in Belgium grades in university go from 0 to 20, with 12 is a pass...

GPA = Gay Pilots Association

no, in this case GPA = Grade Point Average, but I do neither know what it is nor how to calculate it...

so ok now I have a slight idea on how to calculate it if just someone could tell me what "credits" or "units" are in this case.

but not at my university... I realy don't know what they use in high school or earlier

I think credits is something, what tells you how many hours of for example mathematics you had in a semester...
