I got a few complaints from some of my users, that it's very easy to accidentally press the "Mark forums read" button when browsing from a mobile phone, due to its placement.
Imho, I think they are kinda right. Maybe this button needs to be moved.

Re: "Mark forums read" can be pressed accidentally in mobile devices
Is it because it is on the right side in ltr reading mode?
I don't really know because I don't like touch screens.

I don't see a problem. It's no more accidentally touchable than any other link/button on screen.
Has an irascible disposition.

No, it's top right in ltr. While trying to scroll you may press it accidentally.brunoais wrote:Is it because it is on the right side in rtl reading mode?

Maybe so, but the action is irreversible compared to other buttons.VSE wrote:I don't see a problem. It's no more accidentally touchable than any other link/button on screen.

Bury it in the quick links?

It's for the touch event, not the click event.Un1matr1x wrote:please, please, NO - not another dialog to acceptbrunoais wrote:I guess we can do a "do you really" popin...

Agreed. In most UI guidelines, any irreversible actions should require confirmation, so even including this on the Click event would be appropriate.Mess wrote:Makes sense for touch devices, imo.brunoais wrote:It's for the touch event, not the click event.Un1matr1x wrote:please, please, NO - not another dialog to acceptbrunoais wrote:I guess we can do a "do you really" popin...
