It's not about laziness as you're insinuating. It's about the fact that I have no idea what a post is about because I was linked to the middle of it so now I have to scroll to the top of the page, which can be very long, check the title there, and in doing so I just lost my spot where I was reading at. It's not at all as dismissible as you'd like to make it.Dragosvr92 wrote:I still cannot understand what you mean. I see nothing wrong in that screenshot. The Topic title is always shown at the very top of the topic you are viewing. right under the navigation panel, where the Board index link is.
Oh, okay. i guess i understand what you are saying now. The user may be too lazy to scroll up at the top of the page to see the topic title.![]()
If the user doesnt know the topic title and they havent bothered to read the first post that started all that discussion, then they shouldnt be bothering to read the very last post.......
When the page loads, you can scroll up very fast with your mouse or on a touch pad/mobile, you can scroll up just with a fast finger swing....
Really cant see a problem with this.
Dont smartphones have an option to roll over an area to display the full site title ?
And no, smartphones don't have an area that displays the full site name or anything in the title tag. Chrome mobile displays a very small part of the title in the tab, for obvious reasons, but you only see this truncated page title (10-15 characters it looks like...maybe more if you go landscape) if you press the tab button.
