i have suggestions:

it can be use some changes in 3.1

first of all:
1- change color from blue to brown like prosilver Special Edition
even can be replace prosilver with prosilver Special Edition

phpbb.com and many boards use this style and so better than the prosilver.


2- redesign the footer and add social networks ( facebook , ...) to this. phpbb.com use these icons in header. these icons in footer is better than header.

3- Who is online (in index page and view forum and view topic) , Birthdays & Statistics & Forum permissions ( in view forum ) must put in a box.

4- private message and Notifications its better to combine - remove private message and when any private message arrive show in Notifications.

5- user control panel and moderator control panel use jquery menu with sub-menu ( for example for User control panel sub-menu can be ( avatar - signature - board setting and ... )
it will be a quick access for UCP and MCP.

6- use Quick MOD Moderation Improvements

7- what is necessary use WRAP ( go to top ) in first post ( in topic ) ? and there is not wrap top in view forum and index page. i see some wrap top in some where automatic show when we scroll in down and disappear when scroll in top.

Meis, this is really not about colours. I personally dont like Prosilver SE, I like blue so.. This should be about improving customizability of prosilver and adding new useful techniques which were not here in 2007. As I said before for example LESS and font awesome. If we have LESS we can create new styles like Prosilver SE in 5 minutes. And if we also have font awesome, we can do it even faster because we dont need to recolor icons from blue to gray. I think, it would be great to replace as many images used in style as possible. phpBB3.1 prosilver replaced buttons so it is great, but not all of them.

yes master Kamahl19 i like your idea. your perfect idea is a wish for many people. we are in 2014 and phpBB in style must fight with other board bulletin.

I prefer the blue too, it's what people are used to with prosilver. I don't think it needs huge changes, just some small tweaks should be sufficient. If prosilver might be depreciated in 5 years or so then maybe we shouldn't worry about new prosilver based styles and leave LESS and front awesome to the new style that will compete with prosilver. I guess it depends on how difficult it would be to add them though. If it's simple then adding them may not be too much of a waste...

We've already said we aren't going to support two styles. We aren't even really giving much support for subsilver2 in 3.1. It's just there collecting dust pretty much until we totally dump it. Same thing would happen to prosilver in this proposed approach and it wouldn't get supported or updated much if at all.

Does SubBlue not work with phpbb anymore? I could be wrong but I was thinking who better to update and revamp his own design ?

We've already said we aren't going to support two styles. We aren't even really giving much support for subsilver2 in 3.1. It's just there collecting dust pretty much until we totally dump it. Same thing would happen to prosilver in this proposed approach and it wouldn't get supported or updated much if at all.

If a new style would be designed, a similar process would likely happen that did when prosilver was introduced. It was a pretty different design from subsilver and was pretty hated for a while, but then everyone loved it and other BBS's copied us.

Which is it? Are we going to have two styles or is prosilver just going to be replaced one day with something unknown? We seem to be getting different information...
