Probably because they match the existing button style and look like they should have always been there. The thick border not so much...t_backoff wrote:Somehow I missed those, only saw the "Post Reply" and wrench buttons...
Also this topic is about redesigning prosilver so I think his suggestions are valid even without being a "new style."

Yep it is included in 3.1,way not to use them? in my opinion is looks to good to not use but is just me.t_backoff wrote:It looks like all you did was adjust some color and add a box around the topic title. I'd hardly call it a "new style".NORDLANDVOLK wrote:What do you think?![]()
You mean the one's that are already included in 3.1?Master_Cylinder wrote:but I like the buttons...

i hide that mambo jambo from 90' way and cut some row and put back "Previous " and "Next" close to pagination were is normal to be.
im not agree with to made a new style cos i like Prosilver.
sorry for my bad english
Re: Prosilver redesign
The theme definitely deserves a refresh. I really like it when it was released, but just like with SubSilver I think it's time for a new theme
Slightly better English than it was in 2005, still improving
Re: Prosilver redesign
Somewhere (I thought in this topic) there was mention of just doing a completely new style and that got wrapped into my reply.NORDLANDVOLK wrote:"new style" where did you get that? i never say it is a new style but the subject it was "Prosilver redesign" and i try to do smomthing

Re: Prosilver redesign
There is talk of a new style but some of us think that should be a secondary style, not for replacing prosilver but to add with it. Prosilver just needs a few tweaks, imho...

Re: Prosilver redesign
Another style? Bad idea.
Having two styles in phpBB 3 has made a real quagmire for style devs and especially MOD devs.
There should really only be one style, off of which all other styles can be built upon, and thus provide much better compatibility with MODs/extensions.

Has an irascible disposition.

Re: Prosilver redesign
I'm open for a new style and/or updating prosilver (though I prefer a new style). However, I'm against a secondary style. That would make it too difficult and/or time-consuming for mod creators.
I prefer a new style (I highly doubt it would make into 3.1) because currently it's not easy enough to edit/change the overallheader (main image, menus, etc)... So admins can easily differentiate their site from others and/or customize the style to their liking.

Not that anyone is putting words in my mouth, but I never said a secondary style (I'm actually against that). I said the there was talk of a completely new style, and I actually prefer prosilver.

I said there was "some talk" of a new secondary style as an alternative to replacing prosilver...I'm *against* replacing prosilver with something completely new.t_backoff wrote:Not that anyone is putting words in my mouth, but I never said a secondary style (I'm actually against that).
