Re: Prosilver redesign
I'm not in favor of replacing ProSilver, but Ultra Blue seems neutral to me (Helion not so much). So why do you say that it's for "very narrow applications"?Marshalrusty wrote:This post frightens me.Meis2M wrote:we have many good styles for replace prosilver for exapmle:
Artodia: Helion
or
Artodia: Ultra Blue
what u think?
If you're going to suggest replacing prosilver with something, that something should be clearly better than prosilver. It also needs to be neutral enough to still work for most applications. Those two styles work for very narrow applications.
Just curious,

*Maybe* that looks OK on a phone but I wouldn't want that on my desktop.callumacrae wrote: Thoughts?

I think It looks amazing. But as others have mentioned it is not very easy to read.callumacrae wrote:Thoughts?

But the screenshot tells nothing about the code behind, which very well could be a deal breaker.
Is it responsive, valid, optimized and support all applicable platforms?

Well, it isn't complete yet! Both I and the guy who made it (iirc) use high contrast monitors, so that's why you might be having issues with it.VSE+ wrote:very difficult to read...contrast anyone?
It's literally just a PSD right nowMess wrote:I think It looks amazing. But as others have mentioned it is not very easy to read.

Arh, that explains why you linked a screenshot. Thank you.callumacrae wrote:It's literally just a PSD right nowMess wrote:I think It looks amazing. But as others have mentioned it is not very easy to read.

Re: Prosilver redesign
I dont understand where this topic is going. Some are only looking at the design (as in lookwise) perspective and some are looking at it in the Framework perspective. I think we should probably look into perhaps using LESS or SASS (like Kamahl suggested in the first couple of pages), decide if we want to use Bootstrap or create our own FW, etc.. and then look into the design aspects only at the end. I think the overall architecture of prosilver needs to be addressed, needs modernization and re-done and not just the style and looks. Changing just the style wouldnt make sense since they can be installed separately.

Re: Prosilver redesign
I like it... It has more of a modern/updated feel to it.

It looks nice and clean because everything is disabled/missing .callumacrae wrote:Well, it isn't complete yet! Both I and the guy who made it (iirc) use high contrast monitors, so that's why you might be having issues with it.VSE+ wrote:very difficult to read...contrast anyone?

Granted, I always hide all those features no one ever uses (like the post "sorting" feature). It's all just useless screen clutter for 99% of the users.

Re: Prosilver redesign
I think it makes more sense to just focus on small design changes for prosilver and leave the new framework stuff to a completely new style that might compete with prosilver with possible exceptions for simple architectural changes that might be easy to add without breaking other stuff.Alien_Time wrote:I dont understand where this topic is going.
