open phpBB for modules and addins

Post by MartinTruckenbrodt »

Hello,
while programming Mutiple Newsletters Add On I've gotton some trouble to use phpBB default MCP, permission and logging systems for it. This is long time ago. For my MOD I've decided not to use the phpBB default features and to realize it with a very simple extra way.

Here two (old) sources:
http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... &t=1741985
http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... &t=1050435

Sorry, I don't know if some of these things will be improved in Ascraeus. I just want to remind to these things with this post.

I think this point is very important for all people whom are programming true modules or plugins like photo gallery, calendar, download database, link database, CMS, and so on ...

Let phpBB be the new Joomla! ;) :)

Bye Martin
