Re: Releasing 3.0.10
There is nothing wrong with building new RC packages so a) people who updated to the earlier RC can get regression fixes and so b) people who have not updated will not see regression bugs at all. If more regression bugs show up, we will wait another week or so and release another RC and so on.TheKiller wrote:Seriously o.o, you mean RC-2?bantu wrote:I think we should have a second release candidate this weekend.

Re: Releasing 3.0.10
I Was saying that its very fast to get a new release after we just got this, and we havent used for enought time to see if we find any bugs.
Not that RC2 is so fast that it will be released imediately.. I Sortoflike the RC because you can make the style upgrades step by stem.. Like, do 20 lines of upgrading.. at the next RC release another 20.. Not like when the official version gets out and you have to do 100 upgrades in lines

Re: Releasing 3.0.10
RC2 only fixes bugs and regressions reported against RC1. The bugs that were not found by now are still there. The idea is that RC2 (hopefully) does not introduce any new bugs, because we keep the changes in RC2 to the minimum necessary to fix the bugs reported in RC1.TheKiller wrote:I Was saying that its very fast to get a new release after we just got this, and we havent used for enought time to see if we find any bugs.
Re: Releasing 3.0.10
To those looking too closely into announced dates please read carefully:
If you want to help with releases happening on time the best thing to do is to fix issues with blocker priority. We have reports to help you find these issues here: viewtopic.php?f=99&t=36399&p=219759#p219759
This is a proposal, not a commitment. Because we have mandatory code review of all patches it normally takes several developers working together to make a release happen. The dates posted are primarily a request to the other developers to fix/merge blocker tickets by these dates. If developers are busy this merging may not happen, in which case the release will slip.bantu wrote: I think it is time for another release of phpBB 3.0. So I propose releasing phpBB 3.0.10 at around the end of october and having the first RC around mid-october.

Re: Releasing 3.0.10
Translators post for RC2.
bantu wrote:Hello everyone,
we are preparing a second release candiate right now. There has been a minor change to the language files: We dropped the version number from DLL_POSTGRES because this driver also works fine on PostgreSQL 9.1
If you have not translated the changes from 3.0.9 to 3.0.10-RC1 yet, you might want to use the 3.0.9-to-3.0.10-RC2 change files below.
Thanks.
