[RFC] Make forum search engine index the File Comments

The Upload Attachement option is a great feature and I am glad that since a couple of years it finally made it from MOD to FEATURE.

But . . . . . . when people use this feature for uploading images and use the File Comments option to include a caption for the image this data can not be loacated by the forum search engine.

Especially in forums where images are an important part of the contents it would be a great feature to have these captions (File Comments) indexed as well. It is very sad, but at the moment it is actually better when people ignore the File Comments while posting and just type their caption in the body text of their message.

I think it will not take a whole lot of coding (yep, I am not a php specialist) effort and that the most important step will be convincing the phpbb team that this is a really great feature that really makes sense. A feature that would finally make the File Comments usefull.
