I think that quotes should link back to the post that was quoted. It would involve only a few changes - it would need the edit function to be edited (so that it would produce [quote="name",postid] or similar), and the view feature, so that it would be a link. There are a few modification that have already been built that do exactly this, how about just writing one of them into the phpBB core?
