i want to embed a pdf doc in to posts we tried everything but still cant get it to work

You can upload them as attachment. But then you first need to enable that extension to be used on your board. You need to go to your ACP and click the "Posting" tab. There you'll find the links: "Manage extensions" and "Manage extension groups".
