Warning System

Post by jgp123 »

On certain forums I see, they have a warning system. For example minor incidents get you a warning and 3 in a month gets you a ban. Does PHPBB have a warning system built in??
If not how do I add one???

Thanks,
Jgp123

Yes,PhpBB has a banning system in it.
To set the time period for a warning expiration.
Goto>>ACP>>General Tab>>Board ConFiguration>>Board Settings
As for the Permissions on who can warn watch the permissions Tab.

For automatically banning after x no of warnings theirs a modification to do that google it.
For removing warnings look in this forum i have posted it somewhere.

It seems I have a different version.
In general I have under Forum:

Configuration
Categories and Forums
Forum Address
Messages and Emails
Security
Forum Deletion

Will put a screenshot up once it loads.

Hi, on this point. I know how to set the days to keep the user warned but how do you actually warn them. is there a button on their profile or something that says 'warm' as I couldn't find anything?

thanks
