list tag

Post by MattyRid »

is it normal for the list feature to come up as "
" and if so, what do you put in between the "=" and "]". Would it not be better to just leave the "=" out of it all together?

Yes, I meant some explanation in the tip-box when you roll over the button.
Naderman, I don't want to devalue your overall huge work or say FAQ are useless etc, but I think I'm breaking an open door when I say that users just don't read FAQ (like any other documentation longer than 3 lines and more than one click far). Most of them don't read it even when they don't know what to do, they certainly do not when they think they know or they aren't really bothered to make things work properly.

PS: you can write into the tip-box?!? wow... 8O

You can't put everything in the tip box... it would get really big.
I think it's best to leave it in the FAQ
If people are too lazy to read how to use it in the FAQ, then they don't have to use all the options it provides.

I personally didn't know about any but the regular list and the numbers... so that's all I've used for 6 months. (I didn't bother to read the FAQ ;) )

Though I think it would be awesome to have a bbcode FAQ link on the posting page, so if you want to know what some things do, just click on the link and read :) faq.php#f30 though it would have to be a mod/add-on.
