i notice a strange thing
when the dev's are working to the phpbb.com the version check don't work
when the site was offline (down like now) the version check work's fine
i don't now where he look for version check but it is a strange thing

As the front page says, the holding page is on a vserver while everything is being brought back up. The version check .txt was added so that users don't experience issues when entering the administration panel.

All of this fiddling around with the forum titles made me spend 3 minutes looking for an RC1 announcement.
