Yes, it is possible to delete the phpbb_config table or any other in your database. If you don't have a good database backup, then it might be a bit tricky reconstructing the phpbb_config table too. It can be done, but it would take more than a basic understanding of phpBB to do so. I will be happy to help you do that if I can...

Well, it makes perfect sense as to why the board's dead! I wouldn't know the first thing about recreating an SQL table. Heck, I'm just learning my way around phpbb!

Re: How do I edit SQL tables?
If there is anything worth saving in your database backup, I will be happy to help you get it restored back to your database. If your board is new, you might just want to start completely from scratch. It just depends on whether you can afford to lose your posts and registered members...
Re: How do I edit SQL tables?
Thanks for the offer. I think I'm going to just start over completely. But, I will need help making the test board! The good thing is my group was at a site hosted by someone else (getphpbb.com), so we were able to regroup there. The board had only been live a matter of a couple of days. Not much was lost at all.

Ok, starting over is the easiest option then...
Re: How do I edit SQL tables?
Most definitely. Thanks again for all of your help! I probably would've panicked and given up otherwise. Plus, now I do know a lot more about how this works than I did before!

It won't be long before you are an expert at all of this. You've definitely learned a lot in a short amount of time...
Re: How do I edit SQL tables?
I'd love to be an expert - so much better than fumbling my way around!

Re: How do I edit SQL tables?
I know what you mean. I'm still working at it myself. In fact, the more I learn, the more I learn how much I don't know. Perhaps ignorance is bliss after all...
Re: How do I edit SQL tables?
Yeah, I know what you mean about ignorance! There are days I wonder why I decided to do this!
