Is there a list of the mods that could be installed with EM?

Wondering why that MOD you have won't install correctly? Let's take a look

DO NOT give out any FTP passwords to anyone! There is no reason to do so! If you need help badly enough, create a temporary FTP account that is restricted to only the files that you need help with and give the information for that. Giving out FTP information can be very dangerous!

If the background color doesn't match your template, go ahead and do what I mentioned above to get the panel to blend with your posting_body.tpl page...

Congratulations on another successful install flesh!!!

ooh thanks :oops:
aaam I saw that before installing the mod I can edit the size of the botton "Upload image" because the text for this botton i entered is longer and dont fit to the size of the botton and is not showing the whole !

Download a current copy of your lang_main.php flie and find the following line:

Code: Select all

$lang['Isup_upload'] = 'Upload Image';
You can change Upload Image to anything that you want. Also, you can probably remove the Reset button and extend the length of the ImageShack button. So you can download the image_shack_body.tpl file and search for these lines:

Code: Select all

		<input type="submit" value="{S_ISUP_UPLOAD}" class="mainoption" style="width:106px">&nbsp;
		<input type="reset" value="{S_ISUP_RESET}" class="mainoption" style="width:54px">
You can delete this line to get rid of the Reset button:

Code: Select all

<input type="reset" value="{S_ISUP_RESET}" class="mainoption" style="width:54px">
On the other line, you can change the style="width:106px" setting to anything that you want. You can change it to 200px. Just play around to see what looks best for you...

Your members can upload as many pictures to ImageShack as they want too...

Spam Bot MODs

I'm getting a lot of spam bot registrations and spammer registrations now too. I don't know what are the best BOT Registration MODs to install, but there are a lot available in the phpBB MOD Database. Apparently I will be needing to install more than I already have. I can delete them as quickly as they register but it would be nice not to have to do that...

I do not have all of these installed, so I can't tell you which would work best for you:

Yes thank you ! I tought you have experience with bots - thats why I am asking you !
I have another question: I saw that you (in your forums) have place where the users can play games ... aam is it possible the flash games to be load from another place - not from the host of the forum ? Bcause of the bandwith!

I wish I had more experience with spammers and spam bots so that I could understand how they benefit from doing what they do. I just don't get it nor why they continue. It would be nice to have one of these idiots explain it to us once and for all...

If you don't have the games stored on your site, then you would have to send your members to sites that host games before they can play them. I can't imagine that a game would take up that much bandwidth though. Are you limited on Server space? The games are mostly Flash movies and most of what I have are not that big...

Up until recently I was running on less than 1 GB of space. In fact, I usuually kept it at about 700-800 MB and that was including several identical boards to what you see on different sub-domains, all of the games, music, etc. If you have 16 GB of available space or even 5 GB, you have far more than you will ever need for all the games that you might ever want...

It really depends on how much your members use the games. I would think that it would take a lot for your members to wipe out your bandwidth but it could happen if you have an extremely active community. I am currently using 13.3 MB on my site, so your experience may vary...

You can always monitor the bandwidth usage and if it begins growing too fast, you can pull the plug or move to a host that offers more bandwidth...
