After adapting manually few mods to phpbb 2.0.21, i see the new version in beta! this version gets all the modifications i have made and much more!
In that case, maybe I must put my efforts to create my style in the new version in hope to the final version will be released.
My question is, if I create the style for phpbb3 from now, will be changues to the final release in the compatibility, or the styling in phpbb3 is final? I hope you understand me...
phpBB3 beta1 and phpBB3.0.0, will be same as Schema. But phpBB Groups are developing phpBB everyday.At the same time they are developing style.. Namely if you creating style, you will use phpBB3.0.0 but little changes..
Yeah, im developing a new style for 3.0.0 with the beta release, but my question is if I should wait for the final release, or it will be compatible at all...
In the case that can be changues for the final release in the styling side, I'll get any documentation to adapt the style?
So, about the copyright; you want to remove the text, and add the image? I think that will be ok, as long as the image links to phpbb.com.
About the styles. You can make images now, but the stylesheet is ever so slightly changing. The template is often changing, so if you want to make changes to that, I suggest you write up in notepad a list of things you changed, similar to the write up for a mod. eg

This way, when phpBB is released, you can grab subsilver theme, add your images (they might add one or more images before the release), edit the stylesheet (should be easy enough), edit the .cfg's, and change the things you wanted changed in the templates.
The above works, if you want your theme based off of subSilver. However, there is a new style being released only once phpbb goes gold. I, myself, have made a style based of subsilver using the above info, and am going to use it on my forums (once phpbb3 is out, which is very important. DO NOT USE IT WHILE IT IS IN BETA. RC is the first time you should use it in a live environment, unless you are very good at php) until I get time during the busy school year to make another style based off of the new style. The new style is going to be totally different, I'm not sure exactly how, but it is.
I hope this helps. Personally, if you don't want to make 2 styles like I am, I would NOT make one off of subSilver now. The new style is supposed to be TONS better.
