A few features ...

Post by Josellis »

I would just like some information about those features :
  • SSL with SMTP: I saw that you now have SMTP, but can you include and SSL connection ?
  • Banners: Would it be possible to include banners (not only image banners, but also AdSense banners) ?
  • WYSIWYG: Will there be a WYSISWYG editor with phpBB3 ?
  • QuickReply: Will there be a quickreply option with the basic BBCodes (b, i, u, img) ?
  • ACP editor: Will we be able to edit the template and language files through the ACP ???
[/b]

I really hope that those options will be available in phpBB3, only, I don't know if they will ever be developped ...

Yes, I did see that, and it doesn't say anything about SSL with SMTP, WYSIWYG editing, Banners, QuickReplies and nothing about an ACP template editor (yes for the language, but it is not even in the ACP menu yet)

If I read a product description for a can of coke, and it doesn't say it contains caffine, that means it doesn't contain caffine. You can assume the same applies to all product descriptions, even here.

For what I understand, no support is given from the DEVELOPPERS. Which meen some nice enough people can help other people

but it is going a little bit off-topic.

There is no support. PhpBB3 is broken in places because it's not finished, there is no point helping people fix things that will be fixed by the developers.

Also, why do you stop at SSL and SMTP and WYSIWYG etc? The feature list doesn't say it has a homework solver in there so maybe someone should ask about that...

I'm NOT stupid, I know the phpBB3 is still in developpement, I know that something don't work (like in ACP for the roles ...), I was asking if the features I listed above will be in the next release at all that's all !!!
