52 with 8 new reports.

I think as we keep track of this we should keep in mind that some new reports are going to be false and/or repeat reports.

no we shouldn't because the dev team still has to deal with checking that and then closing them.

But a lot of "Review later" and "Awaiting Information" bugs aren't bugs now.

i hope that Olympus comes soon, but i also it takes the time to find all the bugs wrong with it... also... isnt that what beta means? not final, but test?

I believe they intend to make Beta as stable as possible. The more stable Beta is, the sooner the final version come out.

An ideal situation for any software development team is to release a BETA and recieve no bug reports. I *think* that this is what the phpBB Team are trying to do, otherwise the BETA would have been out for a while...

A truly bug-less piece of software contains 0 lines of code. If developers of a piece of software never got any bug reports for a beta release, then the actual truth is the no-one bothered to download it and test it.

There will always be bugs for any piece of software regardless of complexity... it's just a matter of those bugs being show-stoppers, minor annoyances or something in-between...
