Yes and No. It really depends. If the database changed between the versions then it won't work. Sometimes upgrading by copying in new files causes problems, (I had an error that went away if I clean installed so I guess it was a DB issue). If you can't keep up with DB changes then either be prepared to reinstall thigs and lose previous data or don't run a board at all..Zach wrote: a) Do database restores work from older CVS' to newer ones?
AFAIK thats not a feature of Olympus, it is more likely either a stats package offered by the webhost or generated from the web deamons log file (normally run through an analyser, becaue no one reads logs by hand unless they are looking for something specific)..Zach wrote: b) Can you give me link to get webstats like that before mine gets too busy, while I don't get the chance to keep track of it.
Its best to ask your webhost what stats packages they have. If yo have Cpanel or Healm or another control panel the look for a link with "statistics" or something like "Analog", "AW Stats" or "Webalizer". If you can access your httpds raw logs then you could run one of thoose yourself.
Do I need to tap the rules?.Zach wrote: c) Can you PLEASE tell me how to make it so people who register are automatically admins?
(Looks like: asking for support)
The devs and mods sometimes get annoyed at support questions, sometimes they just calmly find the lock button (most often the latter, god knows how they have the patiance)
(hope this don't cross the line support wise).
