I am also unsure how accurate CVS gets these things, I seem to remember someone once had to change the line endings so CVS reported every line had changed (which I suppose it had). If I was really interested I could connect to SFs CVS and try and see if it lets me use the cvs diff command, but I am just happy to see such a big commit go into CVS without having to check the exact changes.
He's made quite a few large commits since.

Download it and see why not. It's incomplete.

My bad, I just noticed there are no more snapshots. When did they stop offering snapshots? Dang, I was just gonna' download it and peep the upgrades from when I last checked it out a few months back. Oh well.

Try reading the page. It clearly details instructions for...

You know, never mind.
You're right, they don't offer anymore snapshots, you just have to wait for the BETAs, Release Candidates, and Final version like everyone else.

Personaly i think it is taking to long beacusse they are making phpbb 3 working with php 5 but by the time phpbb 3 comes out php 6 can be released.
I mean if you wait so long to make a script it is old before it is released.

But that's the bad side of opensource if you make it commercial you can stop working and start fultime coding.

I think it is normal that people are asking when it wil be ready. If you let them wait so long

Uh, no. phpBB 2.1 has worked on php 5 since beta 1 of php 5 was released in July 2004.
