For general use, WindowsXP.
For a server enviroment, a distribution of Linux. Me and Fedora Core 3 are getting on well at the moment 8)

for overall use ( gaming and all ) Windows XP.
server : Linux RedHat.

hmz.. i hear a lot of persons complaining about Windows, but a lot use it for all kinds of things oO.

Server: RHEL 3 if in a datacenter, otherwise Debian mostly
