A new question - what tools do you use to develop phpBB? :)

I am really interested in what tools the coders of phpBB use for development (besides CVS). Just a plain texteditor? A powerful PHP IDE like Zend or Maguma? Anything else?

Well, there's JEdit, PHPEdit, PHP Designer, etc.
And those people who use plain old NotePad.
I personally use JEdit and PHP Designer.

I was more interested in the tools used by the creators/coders of phpBB, not by users in general
Or are you one of them?

Well we're not actually coders of phpBB, but what does it matter
I use Notepad 2. I find the syntax highlighting very useful and line numbers are always good

Re: A new question - what tools do you use to develop phpBB?
I use Eclipse + PHPEclipse + a modified form of XAMPP (with dbg and SimpleUnit) for my PHP development.
Works a treat. I used to use Visual Studio before that.
See the screen shot here for details:

Re: A new question - what tools do you use to develop phpBB?
The developers don't normally reply to many threads in these forums, since they are working on PhpBB and having a private life also. And if they would, they'd read a lot of nagging about the release date, which can get very enerving, if you have to read it for about two-three years...Adagio wrote: I was more interested in the tools used by the creators/coders of phpBB, not by users in general

You might try checking out their blogs or reading through older posts in this and especially the main forum (since search is working there).
