Re: Gmail goes POP3
is the POP3 function on Gmail free to all current gmail accounts?
Think that the developers have secretly stopped working on PhpBB v2.2? Think again........see the latest progress HERE:
Re: Gmail goes POP3
Its free to everyone. It's just that not everyone has it yet. They're putting it out in phases.

Was sort of thinking that if Gmail adds it in as they are currently, it will force Hotmail to reestablish it for to be competitive, just as they increased their storage space from 2 to 250 MBytes...Martin Blank wrote:Hotmail is actually curtailing the remote access, making it an option only for premium users.

Desperately?
I see nothing "desperate" about Google's current circumstances. They've expanded their listings to eight billion pages, and have a firm grip on newsgroup searches. They've beaten Microsoft to the punch for desktop searches. They have a powerful new e-mail system, a popular weblog system, and a host of advanced services, and have more trust from the general community than Microsoft ever had.
They're very, very different companies, and I doubt this little bit of overlap is going to hurt Google.
PS: Can we please stop with the immature use of dollar sign's in Microsoft's name? It doesn't make you look any more 1337.

And, rumours are spreading that Google is planning a browser, probably some sort of modified version of Firefox, given Firefox and Google's recent cooperation.

1000 MB of disk space for me is too much...
In my Hotmail I never use more than 700 KB... because I delete all the stuff I don't need anymore!
