Updates every 40 minutes?!

I noticed that on the page where one can download snapshots of phpBB 2.1, it says that updates are realeased like every 40 minutes? is each up date different from the one before it?

No, the code doesn't change every 40 minutes - hour, although it did at one time (as I recall).

I think it usually stays the same from what I imagine. Although I look foward to some fixes to the CVS (since a lot of it is currently broken), so I can have some more fun with it.

Remember that a CVS snapshot is a "picture" of the state of the CVS contents at a given point in time. The frequency of updates to the CVS and the frequency of the snapshots aren't directly connected.

Speaking of SourceForge's CVS, has anyone else been experiencing problems lately connecting to it as an anonymous user?

yep there seems to be a problem with the service on one of the servers. Affects a few projects.

SF's CVS has had pserver issues all summer...although I thought they were resolved

Funny. This thing about hating Microsoft just because it's "in" to do that, is just getting pathetic. Yes, you can argue a lot against them, but some of their programs are just awesome. Sure, expensive. I am running Windows Server 2003 on a few servers... I am not experiencing any problems.

Now I will be slaughtered, thrown of the boards, never respected again etc etc I know I know

DO NOTE: I still love Linux, mySQL, php and all that, but.. that doesn't mean I hate Microsoft.
