I'll expound on that...the developers aren't dead

Rather, they have been patching 2.0, and also as dhn wrote. In the same two weeks of "no" activity, there have been approx. 5 commits on the 2.0.x branch

*EVEN IF* the crew had been sitting on their butts for the last two weeks (which it doesn't sound like was the case, but still...) pretty much everyone takes a break once in a while.

2.2 team - I think you're groovy. Not that you need my permission, but even though I *REALLY* want to see this thing released you have my permission to take breaks whenever desired. Particularly since I'm not paying you any kind of salary and I have no personal right to force you to code 24/7.

Obviously, I'd rather you don't even sleep, 'cuz I wanna play with 2.2
