When... it's... done... Not one day sooner. Not one day later.

You installed it for stable? What?

This year, and that's as far as anyone will commit to. There are a few guestimates from one of the developers, but there will be no release date until it is actually finished.

psoTFX has reluctantly admitted his hope that it may be finished by the end of this spring. But do not count on this guess.

Or, for that matter (a-hum), repeat it, lest psoTFX regret guessing at all.

Well, you know how it goes ... "Roberdin said psoTFX said maybe this spring" eventually turns into "Over at area51 they're saying possibly this spring" and then into "2.2 is supposed to be released this spring" and blah blah blah. And the next thing you know, we're all banned, every one of us. :)

Isn't that for completion of milestone 3 or 4? And is this considered alpha or pre-alpha?

To avoid any further confusion, let me point everybody to psoTFX's comment. (Don't miss what he says a couple posts later.) My own opinion is that we ought to leave all discussion of time frames alone, excepting mentioning this year as the year targeted for release.

As for whether we're using alpha or pre-alpha software here, I can't speak for the developers, but this seems like alpha software to me.
