It's been a great learning experience and I hope to have a version for download soon. Just need to test more and fine tune some things.
I know it's kind of silly working on a portal using 2.1.2 CVS code which can change from one day to the next but I thought I'd give it a try.
Still lots more to code....
Call me crazy, but here's my portal for phpbb 2.1.2 :)

That's actually kinda cool! Did you change your forum colors to that purple shade? Or is that a development thing for the time being?

I replaced the th background gif with the shaded purple one which the forum also uses since it shares the same stylesheet information.VxJasonxV wrote:That's actually kinda cool! Did you change your forum colors to that purple shade? Or is that a development thing for the time being?
I now have an RSS news module up. This is is pretty old. I wrote it originally for mx-system but never finished the admin portion

I like, I like - I've done some simple tie-ins between phpBB and other portal systems, but this is _very_ well visually integrated - far more than any of the stuff I've done. (Especially in Flash - uuuuggghh)
I'd love to see where you take this - it looks great, and you've got a nice big version jump-start on the competition...
[Holy crap - tried to post a smiley and it doubled my entire post. JS bug anyone? yeeeesh....]

I like the portal. It doesn't seem to be as packed as those ugly *nukes...
Nice job
