i've been switching th cache on and off, and i havent noticed the slight difference. But then again, its a stand alone machine - basically my PC, no server. I dont know what its like on a server on havy load, but caching them i'm sure will make a significant difference then.

If the forum is on your own computer, you're obviously not going to notice a speed difference with caching...

geeze....that was a little harsh dont you think? You guys here are way too seriouse about things IMO. But I guess that is ok. That was kinda funny though, there are some people that if they didnt see the "just kidding" would flame the crap out of him becuase he was asking newbie type questions.

i have just finished reading the entire thread, and before i say anything else, i just want to say thank-you to the developemnt team: you're doing a great job, and i look forward to phpBB2.2

with that said, i am one of those users who was looking for more "bells and whistles" and at the time, am satisfied with IPB....at least until 2.2 comes out, at which point i will most happily switch back. keep up the good work. :)
NO PM or IM support offered!!
thank you!

So basically, everyone hold your tongues until after then! :P
I think I'll go circle the Autumnal Equinox on my calendar now...
