:) It's a bit hard going ("The Silmarillion" that is ...) but it'll certainly (as dhn says) tell you everything you wanted (or wondered) to know about the ages in Middle Earth.

And as a side note, I just noticed London gets the World Premiere of the first film :) Me happy ... that means we get two Warner/New Line World Premieres within a month or so of each other, crikey! Now, if we can just get Episode II premiered here as well ... ;)

That's it, I'm moving to London. ;)

The best review yet :) This is going to be awesome. I already have tickets for the german midnight release premiere on Dec 19th 12.01am which will be one hour before you Brits and >5 hours before the States (although I am not sure if it is released on 19th or 18th over there) . :P

you have to also look that LOTR originally was written in 1953-4. for a book of that nature to still be such a prevalent fantasy realm book stands as a reason why this film trilogy will crush harry potter :P

and since they filmed all three at once, there is continuance, and I would assume a good flow, by the time they got to towers and king I can assume it should be pretty tightly wrapped, unlike the SW prequels which episode I inho sucked bad, it was tailored to use a lot of animated graphics that seemed like they were targettign a young audience, hopefully epi II redeems itself [lets not kid ourselves if lucas filmed a 5 minute trailer and dubbed it the movie it would still gross more than most box office release :P ]
I still say he should have sucked up his pride and done epi 6 - 9 with Zahn and hopefully wrangled some of the original 4-6 cast into it while their still alive and kicking

just my opinion

Who cares? We have the [b0c924]World Premiere[/b0c924] :) I'm a little surprised the Odeon Leicester Sq. aren't showing it from the 14th though as was rumoured :(

Oh, and the U.S. have a general release of the 19th, no country gets it before the 19th (bar the UK premiere ... not sure whether they're still doing a New York premiere on the 14/16th?)

I want to see this the 19th, but I have a final that day, and a final the day after at like 7:30 am. I live in Lawrence, KS and we don't have any really good movie theaters. I would have to drive a half-hour to get to one. Plus, get there really early to get a good seat. Don't think I'll have that kind of time if I want to do well on my finals.
you're the one with the thin candy shell.
