i saw the trailers for LOTR and after reading the books years ago, I say they put some big bucks into special effects for this one, the trailers look great.
Star wars - just not that excited for, I'll say it again. They should have done epi 6 - 9 and hopefully roped some of the original cast back into it while they're still alive and kicking, then gone back to episodes 1 - 3 IMHO

Which movie are you looking forward to?

If episodes 6-9, you mean the heir to empire series by timothy zahn, I heartily agree. The problem is that Lucas didnt write those, and you [ia0dae]know[/ia0dae] they are better than anything he has written, so I would imagine that he is against making those. The other thing is that those are great books, but there are a lot of subtleties and intricacies that would be hard to get into a movie. There is just more storyline in any of those books than would fit into a movie.

I've been told this isn't the case but I'm positive I remember reading somewhere (and sometime ago now) that Lucas said, when asked whether he planned to conclude the trilogy that it was unlikely (and of course he's since confirmed this) and that he was happy with what Timothy Zahn had done with the post-RotJ storyline. I would've liked to have seen what ILM would've done with some of the battle sequences though with those Dreadnoughts ...
That series was excellent in so many ways, and Thrawn was a big, big part of that. More movies need villains like that: cold and calculating, invincible and perfect.

Newsflash: Episode I sucked a$$.
I can't wait for LOTR, that will rule, Matrix2 has potential, but come on - the real deal is MULLHOLLAND DRIVE, which opens wide Friday. Lynch rules.
But yeah, I've been drooling over LOTR for over a year now, since the first teaser. Oh, and Spidey could be good - and I stress "could". I'm not real excited about the way they pulled the teaser simply because the WTC was in it....

I still have the old trailer. But I think it was a necessary move to cut it down. Not only from a PC point of view but also because the shot pulled watchers out of the trailer. They didn't think about Spiderman any longer but remembered those glorious buildings. This is not what the film makers want!
