Wondering why that MOD you have won't install correctly? Let's take a look

Quality control Topic Tags

Post by Nuttzy99 »

I've begun tagging each topic so I can know that status at a glance. This way no one will be forgotten (hopefully ;)). For now, I don't want anyone else to tag topics b/c I want to be the last line of quality control (for now, until I disappear again someday like usual :P ). Here's what the tags mean...

[verified] - solved and the user verified all is working
[solved] - pretty sure it is fixed but didn't get verification from the user
[user input] - waiting for info from user before proceeding further
[NOT EM] - this is not a problem with EasyMOD, most likely it is a poorly written MOD script
[UNRESOLVED] - not working yet; the tough cases get this one ;)
[BUG FOUND] - hopefully we won't see too many of these :P

...if I add more down the road, I'll add them to this list ;)

hi all,

i saw there was a problem with the permissions, and i got the advice to reply on another topic with my question, so: here i go.

When you've installed EasyMod and you install a mod, it's possible you get errors. But if you by yourself can't solve the errors, can you un-install the changes that were made with EasyMod?

Thx for helping me out here,

Regards,
ArkantoS

EasyMOD makes backups in the /admin/mods/modname/backups directory that you can use.

Yes, you can edit your post and tag the Subject line with something like [SOLVED] or something along those lines if your problem has been resolved. I wish everyone would do that...

well I thought that it was open to all ;) :D .....no seriously maybe a section (an extra table) to say if the issue has been resolved, that will help alot of people especially if the posters are marking them correctly and hopefully not "Help I'm a noobie" ;)

It would be nice to have a visual indicator whether a problem has been resolved. Over in the Coppermine forum, they have exactly as you have suggested, so you can look down the list and quickly see which topics have been resolved. It's a nice feature for a tech support forum...
