phpBB 2.2 will require superglobals to work.

None. The devs have added features that resemble some of the MODs released, but are written from scratch.

That's up to the template, you can easily edit the template to show 30 or even 100 smilies on the page instead of opening a new window.

Yes, phpBB 2.2 will work with register_globals off. In fact, 2.0.x works with register_globals off ...

My actual phpbb 2.0.6 work with register On and with register off I have some problems: what you say?

Just out of curiousity, how long are we talking about? I'm not going to hold you to your word, I'd just like to get a real rough estimate. A month? 6 months? I'm just wondering what an estimated timeline is, however I know things will come up, etc, etc.

Okay, well, how long did it take to get from 2.1.0 to 2.1.1 to 2.1.2? Is from 2.1.2 to 2.1.3 about the same amount of work as the previous milestones, etc.

Well, considering it took 7-8 months for the first two milestones ... However, not all of the time was spent working on the first two milestones as psoTFX didn't have a monitor for who knows how long, and Ashe had ISP problems for quite a while, ... You get the idea.
