Re: START HERE - EasyMOD Compliance Standards
EMC will be certified by the MOD team once the EMC standards are finalized. Which hasn't been done yet, so EMC doesn't really exist

So then what should I do for now?
And if EMC doesn't really exist right now, how come Country Flags and SpellingCow can be considered EMC?

[Edit: I didn't see the second page of posts when I wrote this. I repeated some things already said above, but I also added new information.]
The EasyMOD Compliance Standards are not yet in their final stages. As such, no MODs can be deemed EMC unless Nuttzy sees fit. Currently, Nuttzy has only certified a few of his own MODs to be EMC, and that is because he writes the standards. So, for now, forget about being certified as EMC. If you follow all these current EMC standards, you'll be fine regardless of whether you're officially certified or not.

Re: START HERE - EasyMOD Compliance Standards
OK then, one more quick question. There are a couple of MODs that I have installed on my board (2.0.10, not 2.1.x) that appear in EasyMOD as EMC, and they also state at the top of the MOD "EasyMOD 0.0.10a compliant" or "EasyMOD 0.0.11a compliant," etc. These appear in MODs like Cash MOD and Welcome & Avatar on Index, for example. Are those supposed to be there? If so, am I violating any rules by putting that at the top of my MOD?

They're technically not supposed to be there, but you aren't violating any rules if you do it. No one will come at you in your sleep about it... or worse, deny your MOD from the database.

Great! Just great! Thank you!

We do deny MODs if they have EMC in them . . .GPHemsley wrote:They're technically not supposed to be there, but you aren't violating any rules if you do it. No one will come at you in your sleep about it... or worse, deny your MOD from the database.

Re: START HERE - EasyMOD Compliance Standards
If that is the case, then two questions:
Will you deny mods with "EasyMOD 0.1.13 Compatible" in them?
How come I found 2 MODs in the database with EMC in them (other than Country Flags and SpellingCow)?

The standards haven't been written. We don't want to give people false information.GPHemsley wrote:You do? How come?
We usually tell authors they can say their MOD will install in EasyMOD in their Author Notes if they want.
