Beginnings of Ver 2.2

I know some people have asked about when version 2.2 will be finished. My question is, when was it started and where are you guys exactly in development (not just alpha stage)?

PHPBB 2.2 so far is AMAZING. I'm very pleased and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Keep up the great work!

Technically, it started the second after phpBB2.0.0 was released.

Hmm, shouldn't we consider the branching of 2.0.0 as the starting point? :)

Also, can I ask.. does anything happen in 2.0.x CVS still? Is it like bug fixes?

Yes. There is a 2.0.5 version planned before 2.2 arrives.
