You can disable postcount increment per forum basis.

Why would anyone want to disable post count on forums???

(Unless it's a spam forum and people don't want post counts to rise becuase of spam!)

Chit Chat and Testing have post count turned off (afaik)

1. afaik chit chat doesn't contribute anything positive to phpBB in whole (on the main board is was mainly used for spam, *cough* word thread *cough*).
2. Testing forums are just rubbish anyway, they aren't worth being counted as posts

I for one, would like to...
I have a private moderator only forum, for talking about how to thwap naughty users & the like, and it'd be nice to not have that add to the total post count...

I made a mod for that, but I am not sure if it works with the current version of phpBB. If you know a little PHP you should be able to get it to work.
