New theme for 2.2?

Will the subSilver look be replaced, or will the general idea/feel of it be kept?

subSilver is a very nice "clean" look. If anything keep subSilver and add a dark theme with the default install.

not the official word, but subSilver might be getting a facelift, thats all. i dunno.

I'm very sure that this the following will happen:

Obviously, the phpBB2.* dev team will keep working on getting this version up to speed.
(This could happen before or after release:)
After implementing all features, the phpBB team will open up instructions for themers to come in and start porting their themes from 2.0.* to 2.2, or let them make all new themes. (They'll have time for these because the crew will be beta testing/bug fixing.)
The phpBB crew is probably going to announce this, or another board as a public beta.
phpBB2.2 will be released, and many people will cheer.

Oh, and although I wouldn't know, I honesly think phpBB2.2 subSilver is going to get a slight makeover between now and release.

all templates are not officials, but subsilver is THE phpBB template i think
