CVS Direction Questions.
This is a cross post that I made on the phpbb board. I can't seem to register here atm I undertand beta board.

I know there is no support for CVS questions. Is there any place where I should go to ask a question about dropping $HTTP_POST_VARS in favor of $_POST variables there by breaking all older versions of php prior to 4.1.* versions? The same seems to be true for mySQL versions, though I have yet to work thru the COMMIT problem in db/mysql.php, but I'd imagine its do to a mysql version issue. I'm not asking for support mind you. I'm just curious if there is a place I can go to read the reasons behind this.
I guess my question is does the CVS tree normally operate at the latest versions of all DB's and PHP levels? dropping all backward compatibility?
