Will the topic descriptions be usable in PHPBB 2.2?

I mean things like that

I don't recall seeing it in the planned features list, but there's already such a mod for phpBB if you're interested. *Waits for someone who knows better to post*

What exactly do you mean? - Something like a subtitle?

So far I can't see anything like that prepared in the CVS... I doubt that it will be in the final...

The "feature" (thankfully) wouldn't be making it into vanilla 2.2 though will probably come into place as some MOD.

It's not there by default as people struggle to use descriptive topics anyway and the kludged solution that involves putting all of the first post of said topic in the "title" attribute is not exactly efficient.

He did answer him. The poster could have searched to find numerous discussions on this topic; not doing this and simply starting another adds clutter and takes up resources.

He answered him, he just didn't answer his question. That's just me talking, but I just find it somewhat funny when I see a moderator handle all questions with a RTFS-ish comment.

You deal with repeated questions for two years and then see how you react.

I have, actually. I still answer the question every time, in addition to mentionning that it's been asked countless times already.

The first half of his post answered his only question in detail. The poster's other question was "I want to know everything" (if that can count as a question). SHS rightly pointed him to the search function, since just about everything has been covered ad nauseum. He did exactly what you said you do when you handle these situations - answer the question, and tell them where they can find the answer to any additional questions.
