I don't like the RECENTLY changed style for this board :(

I don't like positions of buttons IP, X, ! and edit. They are quite... illogical... (I know i can move them. And I will if styling team doesn't.) I think ! should be next to (before?) quote (and it could be as big as quote). Edit should be before X. IP? For what is IP if we have post details link? Delete

You're more than welcome to change the style you use on your board.

Those moderator controls have been there for over 3 years and have caused no issues...

But - if this group is divided into two - this should be done with sense. If I want to group X and edit together - just because both are used by the author of the post and a mod/admin. If I want to group quote and ! together - just because both are used by an peolpe who read the post. And IP is unnecessary.

I meant 2.x, which applies to any 2.x...

User will never see IP whois, and more often than not not see Delete either, in which case, all they'll have is Report Post, and it makes sense to seperate that from Quote and Edit.

Then those additional functions, are better suited to where they are.

But if you don't like how it is by default... you're welcome to change it.

You could even put it next between the username and avatar if you felt really adventurous.

OK maybe I was exagerating, I'll still definitely use phpBB but I still don't like
the buttons on the bottom. Partly because I am an administrator of a large
board (I actually take on a professional attitude when administering that board ) and frequently use the buttons on the upper-right corner

I really like the new quote style, overall the changes are very nice and I'm going to go have a look to see if there is anything I missed

If you don't like the new buttons, why don't you simply overwrite them with the original phpBB2 buttons on your own forum when phpBB 2.2 gets released? Problem Solved

I like the new styling a lot better than regular subSilver as I've been around since v1.4 so SS was getting a little worn on me. The seperate box for the bread crumb nav is a real plus; the quote button on the bottom makes sense because if its a large post I'm wasting time going back up to hit quote or edit; my only point of contention is the information in the author box i.e location, joined date etc.

Maybe it could be considered to be wrapped in a div or ul that is left justified, instead of centered. Something about the centered display looks unprofessional imho [obviously I can change this on my own :and will: - just voicing a professional opinion]

Yeah I really don't like the new layout. Hopefully when the new release comes around and close to its end - they will create a brand-new skin and organize everything a lot (and I do mean a lot) better.
