Re: php5 ?
I run a dedicated server with Cpanel, and the damned thing refuses to go higher than 4.3.3, even when I tell it to compile 4.3.6. It compiled the .31 version of Apache just fine, though. :: sigh ::rabidgopher04 wrote:Unfortunately, yes. In fact my host (which uses cpanel) is still using php 4.3.3.
You can never go home again... but I guess you can shop there.

Re: php5 ?
Luckily my host just switched to 4.3.6 and they are using cPanel build 9.4.0-RELEASE 21. Maybe that will help you.
Re: php5 ?
Thats wonderful cPanel for you, never does what you need?Martin Blank wrote:I run a dedicated server with Cpanel, and the damned thing refuses to go higher than 4.3.3, even when I tell it to compile 4.3.6. Which way have you tried to recompile it.
You can upgrade to PHP 4.3.7 by clicking Update Apache (which is under Software) in WHM on the side bar. A submenu of Php Module (Version 4.3.3) is:
Version 4.2.3
Version 4.3.2
Version 4.3.3
Version 4.3.4
Version 4.3.5
Version 4.3.6
Version 4.3.7
Uncheck the current Version and then check off Version 4.3.7. That's it!
You might have to be using the 'x' skin as root in WHM.

Re: php5 ?
I did that. It didn't work. I'm about ready to go off and compile it on my own.
