"View your posts" - why has it changed?

"View your posts" - why has it changed?

In 2.0.x View your posts show you the topics you have participated in. This was a very cool feature, becuase it is very easy to keep track if there was something new in those topics.

Now in 2.1.x it shows me my actual posts, which I already know, since ... well, I wrote them. :mrgreen:

Is there a specific reason why you changed it, or is it merely a sideeffect of changing the search-pages?

I really do prefer the 2.0.x -Version. And as a user of a couple of vB-Boards I have seen a request made for this specific "view" several times, which IMHO shows how popular it is.

good question, I was wondering the same thing. I actually got kind of lost when I tried this out.

Go to the searchpage, type your username in the "Search for Author"-box, select "Topics" in "Display results as"-field... Is that to hard for you? ;)

considering it was just a direct link in the previous phpBB version, yes ;)

It seems to have been changed to be more true to the wording. You are viewing your own posts after all. You can jump to the threads for each post via the links at the top of each post.

Silly rabbit, the icon dot replaced that. Any thread you posted in now has a dot.

The problem is, that with tthe usual 10-15 forums a board usually has, you have to do a lot of clicking to find those topics. As I have explained, even vB users were longing for that feature on several sites (and vB has had the dot for quiete a while).


The 2.0.x solution was better, IMHO.
