since you have to alter the folder permissions i really dont see the point in all these new cp options... people who drasticly alter the styles (and have decent sense when it comes to security) will still do it the old fashioned way
Say there is an overlooked error in a template file, and you are an admin, but not the original with FTP access. This means you can edit the tpl file if needed. Therefore, any admin can, rather than the one with the login details.
Not very secure? If it wasnt, it wouldnt be included.
