hi i am wondering when will the beta tests be released? becuase i know ur doing snapshots but thats not beta testingim waitng for that so when do u think it will nbe redy ?

Some time between alphas and release candidates..or in other words, when it's done, which is the only correct answer.

Actually, there will be.
Edit: I just noticed what the "picky alert" was about. Not the 2.2/2.1 thing, but the tripple b. In that case, you can have a free kick up the arse for being exceptionally pedantic.

Ow, I just noticed that the url I posted leads to the real phpbb site, even though it contains 3 b's.
In case a moderator deleted that line (which would explain why it seemed to have disappeared to me) I can understand why and tried to re-edit it. But... , I can't anymore

I would think that . would screw something up. Maybe the phpBB team bought phpbbb.com and just forwarded it to phpbb.com?
