Recent CVS

Post by Loki »

All of the recent cvs downloads have all been .04 kb or whatever; and they don't contain anything - I know this happens occasionally but now ALL the downloads contain nothing.

The most likely reason is that SF had maintenance planned on the CVS servers yesterday, and this has simply over-run into today.

Either that or they've changed the name of the CVS server and the script need updating.

The snapshots will start working again in time.

Humor isn't your strong point eh? 8)
So what if it's empty, in a day or so it'll be half full (half empty?) again and better than the previous CVS (or worse). As a matter of fact the CVS's are snapshots meaning that at the point of time it was made, it may just be broken completely, the next one could be very functional (or not -all it takes is one unfinished part on the index for example).

My point is that there may be no difference between the empty snapshot and the normal sized one, and then what's more trouble? Getting the empty snapshot and realising that you can't do anything else but continue with your previous one, or installing the new CVS and finding out things don't work anymore (maybe the devs do that on purpose just to keep us on our toes :P )
Anyway, by now there'll be a sizeable CVS available so you can compare its functionalities with those of the empty one

Indeed, I've noticed a major error with the altest CVS packs - they're either empty or when you go to the index page it's completely blank. So getting a full CVS is nothing to write home about, a blank one has the same result and is quicker to dl/ul. :P

Anonymous CVS on Sourceforge seems to be still working. Check here.
