View proper encoding?

Post by guice »

Is there anyway to turn this off on the user side? I keep seeing them posts all over the forums and I'm unable to view them. Says to click "HERE" but if you look at the URL, it's missing the required post values;

This post by was made in a character set different to yours. To view this post in its proper encoding click HERE.

I think what we're seeing is a broken feature related to the karma rating. To "fix" the problem, got to User Control Panel -> Preferences -> Viewing Posts and find "Minimum User Karma." Adjust that to the lowest level (-5).

For reference, I believe you also get the same message at present if you have people on your foe list.

shouldn't this be a global announce, or just an announce somewhere we can find it, since I jsut discovered this post, not wanting to ask, ... this is not a support forum...

If they had to announce all "bugs" on this board, it'll be a long list. This site using an unfinished build, you have to expect this.
