Why not just keep installing snapshots in different places? I mean, I have a snapshot from July 21, 2003 in phpBB22-20030721/ and a snapshot from January 1, 2003 in phpBB22-20040101/. And these are all on http://localhost/, so I've got plenty of room.

awsome! I got it working. What do you guys think of it? I find all the permissions and usergroup stuff confusing. It definatly dosent work as well as this board lol. But, so far, im lovin it! Thanks for the help everyone.

Who here thinks that 2.2 should have a poll editing thing similar to vb where you can change the votes?

Also, with the snapshots, is there a way that I could just install them on my PC so I can play around with it without going online?

He wasn't trying to link it, phpbb did that automatically. Localhost just means that it is on a webserver on the same computer you are viewing it from.

Mine's installed on my local host.

To install phpbb on your computer, you need to install a server, php and mysql. I'm currently using BadBlue - it works.

Yeah, its pretty cool. I also write php alot, so its easier for me to develop and check scripts this way without having to FTP everything up.

I think you mean Janurary 1, 2004.

Im setting up a local host

Only problem was I spent hours downloading mysql and I got the wrong one lol that was like the most stupid error I have ever made. Hopefully soon I will be able to use the snapshots on my comp vs having to have to spend hours uploading to my lycos account lol.
